Mining-Induced Strata Movement of Open-Pit Final
نویسنده
چکیده
Strata and surface movement induced by mining under open-pit final slope is a huge 8 threat to mine safety. Physical model test is an important method to study mining-induced strata 9 and surface movement laws. Because of rock joints predominantly control rock mass deformation 10 and failure, thus physical model test leaving out of consideration of rock joints is difficult to reflect 11 the influence of rock joints on rock mass deformation. Therefore, this paper presents a three12 dimensional physical model test considering simplified dominant rock joints. This test process 13 includes the design of testing equipment, the construction of physical model with dominant rock 14 joint sets, conduction of mining and deformation monitoring. And mining under eastern final slope 15 of Yanqianshan iron mine was selected as a case to study the behavior of mining-induced strata and 16 surface movement. 17

This paper is based on the open pit to underground mining practice of Daye Iron Mine. The influence mechanism between high-steep slope and non-pillar sublevel caving method is studied by using physical model test. Firstly, engineering geological properties of the choosing typical research section is analysed and generalized. Secondly, the system of open pit to underground mining is developing a...
متن کاملUsing 2D Lerchs and Grossmann Algorithm to Design Final Pit Limits of Sungun Copper Deposit of Iran (TECHNICAL NOTE)
The Sungun copper deposit is located in about 40km north west of Ahar city in the east Azarbaigan province of Iran. The total geological ore deposit is estimated to be 740 million tons. In this study using all information from exploration and geotechnical studies of the area, final pit limits of Sungun copper deposit is designed by the 2-D Lerchs & Grossmann Algorithm. By this method, from 740 ...

Ultimate limits of an open pit, which define its size and shape at the end of the mine’s life, is the pit with the highest profit value. A number of algorithms such as floating or moving cone method, floating cone method II and the corrected forms of this method, the Korobov algorithm and the corrected form of this method, dynamic programming and the Lerchs and Grossmann algorithm based on grap...
متن کاملA New Algorithm for Determining Ultimate Pit Limits Based on Network Optimization
One of the main concerns of the mining industry is to determine ultimate pit limits. Final pit is a collection of blocks, which can be removed with maximum profit while following restrictions on the slope of the mine’s walls. The size, location and final shape of an open-pit are very important in designing the location of waste dumps, stockpiles, processing plants, access roads and other surfac...
متن کاملComparison of pseudo-static, Newmark and dynamic response analysis of the final pit wall of Sungun copper mine
Sungun Copper Mine is located in an area with a high level of seismic hazard. Most recently, the Ahar-Varzeqan earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 on Richter scale occurred on August 11, 2012; at a distance about 40 kilometers away from the mine. Nevertheless, the seismic stability of the final pit wall has not been comprehensively reviewed. In this research, the southwestern wall of the final p...
